Taking Oaths/Promises for Civil Servants and Inauguration of Functional Officers at Udayana University

Udayana University held an Oath/Promise Taking for Civil Servants and Inauguration of Functional Officers at Udayana University at the Nusantara Room, Agrocomplex Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Thursday (16/12/2021). The number of Civil Servants who took the Oath/Promise was 19 people, by implementing strict health protocols.

The Head of the General Bureau, Ni Made Pertami Susilawati as the Committee in her report conveyed that the implementation of the Oath/Promise of Civil Servants and the Inauguration of Functional Officers was in accordance with the mandate of Government Regulation No. 11 of 2017 and Regulation of the Head of BKN No. 7 of 2017. The number of PNS sworn in amounted to 19 people, consisting of 3 FIB, 5 Medical Faculty, 3 FKH, 1 Law Faculty, 1 Engineering Faculty, 1 Agriculture Faculty, 3 Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty, 1 FTP and 1 FKP.

The taking of oaths/promises is carried out by the Vice Rector for General and Finance Affairs on behalf of the Rector of Udayana University. The civil servants were sworn in according to their respective religions and beliefs witnessed by the clergy of each religion. As civil servants, they must be loyal and obedient to Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the State and the Government; comply with all laws and regulations, carry out duties with full dedication, awareness and responsibility; always uphold the honor of the state, the government and the dignity of civil servants and prioritize the interests of the state above personal and group interests.

The Rector of Unud in his speech delivered by the Vice Rector for General and Finance Affairs said that taking this oath was aimed at fostering and creating civil servants who were clean, honest, neutral, free from political intervention, corruption, collusion and nepotism, upholding the ethics of their position and being loyal and obedient to Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. After being appointed as a civil servant in order to continuously improve their performance, work as well as possible, full of responsibility, high dedication and able to work together and achieve. In carrying out his duties as a functional official, he must uphold ethics, moral principles, decency, honesty, truth and knowledge, be disciplined in carrying out duties, build the image of professional lecturers and follow the mandate according to the Rector's Regulation on the Lecturer Code of Ethics.

Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance Prof. I Gusti Bagus Wiksuana in a separate interview hoped that newly sworn civil servants would immediately carry out their duties, where Lecturer is a functional position that is obliged to carry out the Tridharma of Higher Education. Besides carrying out teaching and learning activities, lecturers must carry out research and community service. The Vice Rector also hopes that the Faculties and Study Programs that accept them will empower additional lecturers who are appointed today, so as to facilitate the learning process in their respective Faculties and Study Programs.
