The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Udayana University Held a National Seminar

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University held a national seminar on poultry with the theme "Latest Development of Avian Influenza in Poultry and Prevention Efforts" at the Grand Santhi Hotel Ballroom, Denpasar, Saturday 2 October 2019. This seminar is the part of anyother series to celebrate 36th Veterinary Family Agency and also 22nd Anniversary of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University.

This seminar is specifically to remember the potential of Avian Infulenza recovery or what is commonly called bird flu for breeders, the community, and other stakeholders. According to Prof. Dr. Drh. Gusti Ayu Yuniati Kencana, MP Virology expert from FKH Udayana University said the seminar on this was related to bird flu and how to count them. From the results of his research with students, this disease does not appear but traces of the virus can still be found, "we are fighting not to cause this disease which is not exacerbated by farmers, so that it can always be repaired, repaired, bird flu that has occurred in Indonesia does not appear again," he added.

Head of Sub Directorate for Prevention and Eradication of Animal Diseases (P3H) Directorate of Animal Health and Directorate General of Animal Husbandry, Drh. Arif Wicaksono, M.Sc who came as a speaker revealed that the potential export of poultry from Indonesia is very large, and this will be threatened if AI or bird flu emerges. "Therefore, we are always strongly related to how to control AI at the agricultural level, then how the role of the department is, how to deal with the role of universities to strengthen, how to control and prevent AI in the field so that Indonesia specifically Bali is free from Avian Influenza," he concluded
