Kuliah Kerja Veteriner XXXV Holds Briefing Focusing on PKM and Communication

The 35th Kuliah Kerja Veteriner (KKV) Briefing Day on Wednesday, 11 January 2023 went smoothly. This briefing event began at 08.45 WITA and was attended by the Dean of FVM Udayana, Vice Dean III of FVM Udayana, Advisors and Assistant Coordinators and leaders of the Udayana FVM Senate. In this briefing, the participants were given material regarding the Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) and communication which would later prepare participants to take part in the Three Days of KKV XXXV activities for three days starting on Tuesday, January 24 2023.

Carrying the theme "Sawagati Anggit Baksya Asasta" which means community service that originates from creative ideas to create a prosperous society, this year KKV was attended by 164 participants and was dominated by 149 new students and 15 old students. "This Kuliah Kerja Veteriner aims to form a thinking formula that will become a problem formulation to produce a Student Creativity Program. Moreover, the results of the KKV will then be implemented in Keswan activities," said Tifano Pratista Ramandika Nur Husodo during the committee's report at the beginning of the event.

In the presentation, two materials were presented, namely material related to PKM, communication, and public education. The first material related to the Student Creativity

Program was delivered by Drh. I Wayan Nico Fajar Gunawan, M.Si who explained about 10 PKM fields, including PKM - RE, PKM - RSH, PKM - K, PKM - PM, PKM - PI, PKM - KC,

PKM - KI, PKM - VGK, PKM - GFT, and PKM – AI. "Hopefully, this event can motivate students to generate PKM, which can then make FVM proud," said the Dean of FVM Udayana Prof. Dr. Drh. I Nyoman Suartha, M.Si, when opening the event.

The second material in this KKV presentation is related to communicating and educating the public, which was delivered quite interactively by Drh. Putu Henrywaesa Sudipa, M.Sc. "Communication must be routinely trained, and as a veterinarian, communication and education are important in the community because veterinarians sell or need something, veterinarians need networks, and veterinarians must deliver something," explained Doc Esa in his presentation. This session describes how to communicate properly, how to socialize a good rearing system, and what diseases usually attack livestock.

After the presentation of the second material, the event continued with lunch with all participants and the committee. Participants were then directed to perform worship according to their respective religions. At the end of the event, information was read out about the assignment, and what luggage the participants had to bring on the 35th D-day of the 35th KKV.

It is hoped that through these material provisions, participants, especially new students, can have an overview of what will be done on the 35th D-Day of the KKV. Furthermore, it can become a forum for participants to develop their potential interests and add insight and knowledge to students regarding the veterinary world in the field. So that later, participants can explore themselves as widely as possible.
