Unud Rector Becomes One of the Speakers at the Coordination Meeting on the Follow-Up of the National Priority for the National Maritime Security Index Based on the 2025–2029 RPJMN in Bali Province Held by the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs

Badung – The Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., served as one of the speakers at the “Coordination Meeting on the Follow-Up of the National Priority for the National Maritime Security Index Based on the 2025–2029 RPJMN in the Bali Province Area” organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polkam). The event took place on Thursday, 27 November 2025, at Jambuluwuk Oceano Seminyak Hotel.

The meeting was attended by the Sub-Directorate Head for Ships and Aircraft, Directorate of Fleet Operations Control, Directorate General of Marine and Fisheries Resources Surveillance (via Zoom); the Head of the Bali Provincial Marine Affairs Office; the First Deputy Chair of the Bali Provincial DPRD; the Head of SPKKL Bakamla; the Head of PSDKP Benoa; as well as representatives from various related institutions in Bali.

In his presentation, the Rector of Udayana University delivered material on “The Role of Higher Education Institutions as Centers of Knowledge and Innovation in Supporting the Strengthening of the National Maritime Security and Safety System.” Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in utilizing university research, technology, and innovation to support sustainable maritime security.

The next presentation was delivered by the Head of the Bali Provincial Marine and Fisheries Office, Ir. Putu Sumardiana, M.P., who discussed the Optimization of the Regional Government's Role in Implementing Maritime Security and Safety Policies in Bali’s Maritime Region and Surrounding Areas. The third presentation was delivered online by the Head of the Sub-Directorate for Operations of Surveillance Vessels and Patrol Aircraft, M. Ichsan, who elaborated on the Strengthening of SDKP Surveillance Governance in the 2025–2029 RPJMN and the Integration of Performance Indicators with the National Maritime Security Index (IKLN).

This coordination meeting is expected to foster synergy between institutions, local governments, and universities in efforts to maintain national maritime security and safety, particularly in Bali’s maritime region.
