Badung – The Training on Pancasila Ideology Development for Lecturers and Prospective Pancasila Education Lecturers Batch III was held on 26–27 November 2025 in Bali. This event marked the final session of the three batches organized by the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), following Batch I in Makassar for the eastern region and Batch II in Palembang for the western region. A total of 200 participants from 61 universities across Indonesia took part in the program. Udayana University joined by sending 17 lecturers from various faculties.

The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ir. I Nengah Sujaya, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., representing the Rector of Unud, attended the opening ceremony held at Four Points Sheraton Ungasan. His presence demonstrated the university’s commitment to strengthening national character within higher education through the internalization of Pancasila values. During the opening, university leaders and participants received presentations highlighting the urgency of ideological development for educators amid the rapid advancement of science and technology.

The event was officially opened by the Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency, Prof. Drs. K.H. Yudian Wahyudi, M.A., Ph.D. In his address, he emphasized that this program is part of the implementation of the President and Vice President’s vision and mission for the next five years toward Golden Indonesia 2045, and aligns with the national AstaCita. Strengthening the understanding of Pancasila is considered crucial for safeguarding the nation’s ideological resilience, especially amid increasingly complex social and global dynamics.

He also quoted Bung Mohammad Hatta’s view that Indonesia must always uphold Pancasila to maintain national unity and cohesion. As the foundation and ideology of the state, Pancasila unites diversity and serves as the guiding compass for the nation’s life. In addition, Pancasila functions as a framework for developing science and technology grounded in the values of divinity, democracy, unity, and social justice.

Higher education institutions are considered the primary stronghold in shaping citizens with Pancasila character. Lecturers, as educators and intellectual mentors of the younger generation, hold a strategic role in ensuring that Pancasila values are consistently internalized in all aspects of academic life—through teaching, research, and community service.

The implementation of this training is expected to enhance the academic community’s awareness of the importance of practicing Pancasila in national life. Throughout the two-day program, participants received comprehensive insights and new perspectives to strengthen national character within higher education, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to the development of Indonesia grounded in Pancasila values.
