Udayana University Receives Visit from Delegation of Kobe Women's University, Japan

Denpasar – The Rector of Udayana University, accompanied by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and team, the Director of Udayana University Hospital, and the Coordinator of the International Affairs Office (KUI), received a delegation from the Faculty of Health and Welfare, Kobe Women's University, Japan, as well as the Sumirekai Medical Corporation Group. The visit took place at the Postgraduate Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, on Monday (August 4, 2025). The meeting focused on further strengthening cooperation between the two institutions. The collaboration between Udayana University and Kobe Women's University has been ongoing for 15 years, since 2010.

In his welcoming remarks, Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana, Rector of Udayana University, stated that the longstanding partnership between Kobe Women's University and the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana has facilitated valuable international exchanges in both education and research for students and faculty members. This meeting marked an important step forward in exploring new horizons of collaboration between the two parties.

Unud is proud to once again collaborate in hosting international symposia and joint research projects, one of which has been selected to receive a scientific research grant from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). Additionally, a promising new international collaborative project is currently being designed, involving Udayana University, Kobe Women's University, and the Sumirekai Medical Corporation Group.

The Rector expressed his hope that this meeting would result in beneficial outcomes and further strengthen the relationship between the institutions, contributing meaningfully to the advancement of global health and education. He also emphasized the importance of building sustainable, impactful inter-institutional partnerships.

On behalf of the visiting delegation, Professor Ai Kimura from Kobe Women's University expressed her deep appreciation for the meeting, viewing it as an integral part of the ongoing international exchange between Kobe Women's University and the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana. She expressed hope that the discussions held would lead to many mutual benefits.
