Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University Visited by the Ministry of Education and Technology's Inspectorate General Team, WBK/WBBM Evaluation

Denpasar - The Implementation of the Evaluation of the Corruption-Free Area (WBK) Integrity Zone of the Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University (Unud) by the Team from the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Itjen Kemdiktisaintek) took place in the 3rd Floor Room of the MM Faculty of Economics and Business Unud Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Wednesday (21/5/2025).

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Unud is one of 14 faculties and postgraduate programs from 8 State Universities that participated in this evaluation process. The implementation of the evaluation by the Itjen Team was attended by the Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance as the Head of the Unud RB Team, the Dean along with the leaders in the Faculty of Economics and Business, Unud and the Integrity Zone Team. Meanwhile, the Itjen Team that attended were Wibowo Supriharjono and Angga Cahya Seftian.

Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance, Unud Prof. IGB Wiksuana in his speech appreciated the assessment process carried out by the Evaluation Team from the Inspectorate General, because this is part of our joint efforts to realize an institution that is free from corrupt practices and misappropriation. Furthermore, the Vice Rector said that the ZI assessment process took a very long time starting from the Unud Assessment Team, the Dikti Assessment Team, the Inspectorate General Assessment Team, to the KemenPANRB Assessment Team.

Through this opportunity, his party as the leader gave appreciation to the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, which has been able to pass the evaluation stage by TPI and is currently being visited. This is certainly a source of pride for Udayana University because the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University has always been used as a barometer for other faculties because of the various achievements that have been achieved, where in 2024 the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University itself has won the Silver Award for the BLU category.

"Initially, we forced the Faculty of Economics and Business itself to be a pilot project for the development of ZI from 2021. Thank God, we see that the Faculty of Economics and Business has succeeded in becoming a pilot project where governance and public services at the Faculty of Economics and Business have improved thanks to the development of this ZI," said Prof. Wiksuana.

In 2024, 7 out of 13 faculties are required to build ZI through strict selection conducted by the RB Team, and in 2025 all faculties and postgraduates are required to build ZI to improve governance and improve public services. The Integrity Zone is a commitment that is more than just a symbol, but a concrete effort that must be made by every element in higher education, including leaders, lecturers, education staff and students to maintain public trust and create a clean and professional environment.

The Vice Rector hopes that through this assessment, it will further clarify the direction and strategic steps that need to be taken to strengthen the culture of integrity on campus. Not only in terms of administration, but also in terms of public services, financial management, procurement of goods and services and all existing policies.

Meanwhile, the representative of the Itjen Team, Wibowo Supriharjono, said that his party as an auditor who was also assigned as the Assessment Team was asked to conduct an evaluation, where the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, was one of those proposed to become a Work Unit that received ZI WBK. Of course, the assessment of the requirements is carried out in stages from the RB Team, then the Assessment Team within the faculty, then the TPSK of the university, and from there to the TPI Itjen in this case. One of the tasks of the TPI is to conduct an evaluation which in this case is more about verification. Of the 112 Work Units proposed to enter the application, then from the TPSK 26 passed and from the TPI based on the review there were 14 that passed. The hope is that the 14 who passed can later all enter the KemenPANRB National Assessment Team.
