Realization of Collaboration, FTP Unud Collaborates with JIRCAS Japan Carry out Community Service in the Tungkub Irrigation Area, Mengwi Bali

The Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University collaborated with Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) has been carried out community service activities with the theme Digitalization of Irrigation Warter Discharge Recording in the Tungkub Irrigation Area, Mengwi Bali on Sunday, 12th  February 2022.

 

This activity was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc., Ph.D., All Deputy Deans in the FTP Unud, All Study Program Coordinators in the FTP Unud, Krama Subak, Pakaseh, Irrigation observers for the Sungi Watershed Irrigation Mr. Agus Mahendra and Observational Staff Sungi Watershed Irrigation, Lecturer at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and Dr. Fumi Okura from JIRCAS and Mr. Septian Fauzi Dwi Saputra who are students of the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT).

 

The activity carried out is the dissemination of the Automatic Water Debit Monitoring Tool, which will then include training on the use of the tool as well as the Equipment Installation process which of course has permission from the BWS (River Basin Office) office which will later carry out monitoring and evaluation related to the equipment that has been installed, in addition held discussions with Dr. Fumi Okura from JIRCAS Japan regarding the problems encountered, the equipment to be installed, and the subak system implemented and the habits carried out by all Pakaseh according to Tempekan in the Tungkub Irrigation Area.

 

 

The Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology hopes that this activity will be able to provide solutions to problems found by Pakaseh in the Tungkub Irrigation Area, and in the future it is hoped that this collaboration will develop both in the fields of Education and Research, he said.
