The Rector on this occasion said that currently Unud has 518 Lectors and 334 Associate Professors who will later be encouraged to become Professors. We just need to encourage them a little and they can become professors. Thus, I think that within 2 years the number of professors will definitely increase at Udayana University. To all professors who have been appointed not to stop and not be complacent, but must always develop their knowledge so that it can be implemented into the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. In the Tri Dharma of Higher Education there are education, research and service, how to integrate these three Tri Dharma of Higher Education so that they can be integrated with each other in such a way as to produce optimal achievements, not only research, not only education, service alone, but all three must be -all three.

"Then the research produced, apart from being for education, must also be able to provide service. The downstreaming of this research is not just a paper or journal but must also have an impact on society. So we emphasize that they must continue to perform and contribute, because the demands of this Professor do not end here. "Every year we must have written work so that we can then provide impact and outcomes to society," said the Rector.

The Rector hopes that the Professors will be able to carry out their duties as well as possible, have a big responsibility to be role models, be able to protect and provide solutions to problems that arise in society through their knowledge, in order to advance the nation and state, provide motivation to juniors and seniors. colleague. By increasing the number of superior human resources, Udayana University is expected to further increase its competitiveness at national and international levels.

It is believed that increasing the number of professors at Udayana University can also support improving the quality of the higher education process that takes place at Udayana University. This then contributed to realizing the vision of Udayana University, which is superior, independent and cultured.

Meanwhile, Chair of the Unud Professors Forum, Prof. Dr. Dr. Ketut Suastika, Sp.PD-KEMD congratulated the new professors and their families and relatives who have supported them all this time. On the occasion, Prof. Suastika added that Indonesia currently still has a lot of dependence on other countries, both in the fields of food, economics, technology, and so on. For this reason, we must continue to move forward. The number of people, geographical extent, and also the amount of natural resources are not directly proportional to the progress of a country. Therefore, the most important element is human resources.

He added that producing human resources who are knowledgeable, skilled and able to compete is one of the tasks of professors. For this reason, it is hoped that professors can make a contribution to institutions, society and the Indonesian nation.

"By increasing the number of professors, we will further increase Unud's role in society. Because it already has various experts in their fields, who of course will help the community in terms of education, research and community service. "To the eleven Professors who were inaugurated, their contributions will always be awaited to provide greater benefits for Udayana University and the community," said the Chair of the Professors Forum.
