Ready to Go to the Village, 390 Udayana University Students Participate in the XXVI Period of KKN PPM

The Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Udayana University (Unud) provided general debriefing of Community Empowerment Learning Real Work Lectures (KKN PPM) period XXVI of 2023 to 390 students. The debriefing activities were carried out in the Nusantara Room, Agrocomplex Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Monday (9/1/2023).

This debriefing aims to increase student awareness of the environment and increase the value of personality and international competitiveness. For one day this debriefing is filled with material related to the philosophy of KKN, the KKN program and the preparation of reports and social ethics in the community.

The implementation of the PPM Unud KKN period XXVI of 2023 is spread across 24 villages from 3 regencies in Bali, namely Gianyar Regency, Tabanan Regency and Karangasem Regency. The debriefing was opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs representing the Chancellor of Udayana University.

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja in his remarks said that this debriefing also aims to provide guidance for students to build work programs that are aligned with village programs. Through this debriefing, students are expected to be able to prioritize village program assistance because each village has a different character. "My message for students is to show that as Unud students who have their own class and have sensitivity to problems in the village to provide solutions to problems in the village," he said.

Head of LPPM Unud Prof. I Nyoman Suarsana stated that the Community Service Program took place from January 28 to March 12 2023. A total of 390 KKN students came from 13 faculties who were assigned to 24 villages. This KKN does not use villages that are close to the campus. "The selected locations serve as places to serve to improve the economy in each of these villages. In addition, the implementation of this period's KKN focuses on development and improvement in the health, economic, socio-cultural and infrastructure sectors," he said.

The motto of Unud KKN is "Sewaka Guna Pariposana" (Devotion to Building Community Self-Reliance and Welfare). While the resource persons in the debriefing were Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suarsana, M.Si, Dr. I Ketut Mangku Budiasa, S.Pt., M.Si and dr. Kadek Swastika, M.Kes and as moderator Dr. Pande Gde Sasmita Julyantoro, S.Sc., M.Sc.
