Indonesia Robot Contest at National Level 2022 is Officially Open, Udayana University Team is Ready to Compete

The National Achievement Center or Indonesian Talent Development Center (BPTI) of the Ministry of Education and Culture will hold the 2022 Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) in which the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology was appointed to host it. This activity was carried out from June 29, 2022 to July 4, 2022, where the opening took place in a hybrid manner, namely online via Zoom URL and Offline from Graha Ten November, ITS Sukolilo Campus Surabaya, Friday (01/07/2022).

Vice Rector for Student Affairs Udayana University Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, MT.,Ph.D.,IPU also attended the online opening according to the invitation given. The National Level KRI was attended by 121 of 54 universities according to the results of the regional selection that had been carried out, including the contingent from Udayana University.

Head of BPTI Asep Sukmayadi, S.IP., M.Si on this occasion said that this was the first event to be held on site since the pandemic. The activity has been initiated since last year and appointed ITS as the organizer. We will see on site a very fierce competition. Through this opportunity, the Head of BPTI also gave an award to the team from ITS who had become the overall champion of the International Robot Contest in the United States. The head of BPTI hopes that the pandemic will continue to slow down and talent development can continue to be developed.

His party wants to strengthen a number of interventions in the nursery phase, including the transition phase when our students are in college. We realize that our students have extraordinary potential and excellent innovation power. We also want to promote competitive standards that do not challenge student creativity and expand opportunities to develop technology. Students have a great opportunity to prove their innovation and BPTI only facilitates it. Programs have been prepared to provide appreciation and incentives such as scholarship schemes. This competition does not only want to build skills but also build the character of Pancasila which is integrity, tough and competitive. Through this opportunity, the Head of BPTI also appreciated the preparations that ITS had made in the implementation of this activity.
