Udayana University Holds a Friendly Event with 13 Scholarship Granting Partners

For the first time, Udayana University (Unud) held a friendly event with 3rd party scholarship partners, on Friday, (03/06/2022), which took place at the Widya Sabha Auditorium, Bukit Jimbaran Campus. A total of 13 scholarship partners for Unud students attended this activity, in addition, 300 scholarship recipients were also attended. The 13 partners providing scholarships to Unud students consist of (1) Bank Indonesia, (2) Bank Central Asia, (3) Bank Lestari, (4) Karya Lentera Bangsa Foundation, (5) PT. Pertamina Foundation, (6) BAZNAZ, (7) Karya Salemba Empat, (8) PT. Erlangga, (9) Salim Foundation, (10) PT. Djarum Foundation, (11) Bangli Regency Government, (12) Bogor Regency Government and (13) Jember City Government.

This Udayana University 3rd Party Scholarship Giver Gathering was opened by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs who is also the Chair of the organizing committee, Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, M.T., Ph.D., IPU.. In his speech, Prof. Ngakan said that this friendly event was the first event organized by Unud involving 3rd party scholarship organizers and scholarship recipients, namely students.

The Udayana University 3rd Party Scholarship Giver Friendly Event was initiated and initiated by the ideas and thoughts of the Unud Chancellor. This includes involving at least 300 scholarship recipients to attend and take part in a friendly event with the scholarship organizers. "This event was held for the first time, and this is the fruit of the thought of the Rector of Unud. I hope that events like this can take place in the next period by involving more Udayana University scholarship providers," said Prof. Ngakan.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Udayana University, Prof.Dr.Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng.IPU. expressed his appreciation for the organization of this 3rd Party Scholarship Giver Friendly event. In his speech, Prof. Gde Antara expressed his gratitude and highest appreciation to all scholarship organizers who are still collaborating with Udayana University until now. "This event takes place as a form of gratitude and the highest appreciation for the parents of the organizers of scholarships for children studying at Udayana University," said Prof. Gde Antara.

The Rector of Unud also expressed his admiration for the consistency and commitment shown by the organizers of the 3rd party scholarships at Udayana University. This is related to continuous collaboration and consistency in providing tuition assistance in the form of scholarships.

"We hope that by gathering us together today, hopefully we can strengthen the good relations that have been established so far. In addition, hopefully in the future the ladies and gentlemen who are present at this time can provide more scholarships to more students. I hope the number will be higher. more every year," said Prof. Gde Antara.

The existence of scholarships for students is very important. The current challenge of Udayana University is to seek to increase the number of scholarship providers to more partners than before. "I think the more partners that provide scholarships, the better. So that later on we can reduce the source of funding for education at Udayana University, which comes from UKT (Single Tuition) for students, in terms of number and quantity. So we continue to look forward to this collaboration. , so that we can increase non-UKT financial aid," said Prof. Gde Antara.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Director of the Bali Province Bank Indonesia Representative Office, S. Donny H. Heatubun, also gave a positive appreciation for the holding of the Udayana University 3rd Party Scholarship Giving Gathering event. "I think an event like this is very good and positive. This provides a space for us together to further strengthen the relationship and cooperation. In addition, I was able to meet the recipients of the Bank Indonesia scholarship, which we call GEN BI. Hopefully cooperation and collaboration between Udaya University and Bank Indonesia can increase further in the future," said Donny.

Met on the sidelines of the event, the Rector of Unud, Prof. Gde Antara expressed his desire to build a consortium. This consortium itself will later be followed by all Udayana University scholarship organizers. "The purpose of this Consortium will be to become a medium of communication between interested parties, namely Udayana University as scholarship recipients and also partners as scholarship providers," said Prof. Gde Antara.
