PEMKAB MERAUKE COOPERATION WITH UDAYANA UNIVERSITY

Jimbaran - Udayana University establishes cooperation in the field of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi with the Merauke Regency Government which is marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Chancellor of Unud, Prof. A A. Raka Sudewi with the Merauke Regent, Frederikus Gebze (9/10) at the Rectorate Building Unud Bukit Jimbaran Campus. The event was also attended by the Vice Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation and Information and the Regional Secretary of Merauke Regency. At present some students from Merauke Regency Government are attending education at Udayana University. One focus of the collaboration that will be carried out is in the field of tourism, especially sending students to study at the Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University.

Chancellor of Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. A.A Raka Sudewi, Sp. S (K) welcomed the signing of the cooperation in order to improve human resources and the implementation of the Tri Darma of Higher Education at Udayana University and Merauke Regency. The Chancellor hopes that this collaboration can benefit both parties.

Merauke Regent Frederikus Gebze expressed his appreciation to Udayana University for signing this MoU. The Regent said that there were two things that became the focus of this collaboration, namely related to the Tri Darma of Higher Education and the development of HR, but currently more focused are prioritized in the field of tourism, given the well-known in this field. In accordance with Merauke Regency's vision and mission the main support is cultural tourism which is one of the icons in Merauke. Through this collaboration it is hoped that it can provide inspiration to make this happen. (HM)
