ICBB Ke- 9 "Biosciences and Biotechnology for Sustainable Development"

Denpasar - The 9th International Conference on Bioscience and Biotechnology "Biosciences and Biotechnology for Sustainable Development", was again held at Udayana University, Thursday, September 20, 2018. The conference which is routinely held every year is opened by the Chancellor of Unud, Prof. A.A Raka Sudewi by inviting invited speakers from abroad, namely Japan and Australia and national invited speakers from UGM and Unram. Prof. Dewa Ngurah Suprapta from the Faculty of Agriculture became the Keynote Speakers at this conference, with the topic "Linkage between Biodiversity, Bioscience, and Bio-Business", while the Japanese keynote speaker Mutsuaki Suzuki, Ph.D delivered material with the theme "Nagoya Protocol Implementation and Strategy of Bioeconomy in Japan ".

Chancellor of Unud, Prof. A.A Raka Sudewi expressed his appreciation to the committee who have prepared this activity which has been successfully carried out routinely every year. The Chancellor also delivered a conference that discussed biodiversity, exploitation and conservation of biodiversity that we have is a good theme chosen to be presented at this conference, considering the application of new technologies in bioscience and biotechnology has produced new products. The Chancellor hopes that through this conference can produce new research and collaboration between researchers and provide benefits to the world of education.

The ICBB held this year coincides in a series of commemoration of the Anniversary and Anniversary of the Faculty of Agriculture, said the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Unud, Prof. Nyoman Rai To the Chancellor the Dean expressed his appreciation for supporting the implementation of this activity and hoped that in the future this biotechnology science could develop because it had a lot of influence on life and could advance academic processes at the university and become a place for collaboration and research collaboration.
