IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LECTURERS, UNUD ASSOCIATES P2KPT / PEKERTI AA TRAINING

Denpasar - Udayana University's Learning and Quality Assurance Development Institute (LP3M) held "Learning Training for Higher Education Curriculum (P2KPT / PEKERTI-AA)", Monday, August 20, 2018, at the Hall of Lt. 3 Postgraduate Udayana University Unud Sudirman Campus Denpasar. The event which lasted for four days and was followed by lecturers in the Udayana University and Yapis Dompu STKIP and was opened by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng. This training aims to improve the quality of graduates of Udayana University, especially those that are closely related to the standards of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI) and Dikti standards.

Committee Chairperson, Dr. Ir. Ni Nyoman Suryani, M.Sc in his report said that the number of participants who participated in the training was 34 people. Besides that, P also participated by 5 participants from STKIP Yapis Dompu which is one of the Unud Higher Education Institutions. Furthermore, the Chairperson of the Committee said that the study program is the spearhead that determines the quality of graduates so it is very important to innovate to produce qualified graduates according to the needs of stakeholders, skilled for the industrial world and relevant for national development which of course must also refer to the Higher Education SN. In addition, the lecturer is also the main requirement which is the driving force of academic activity. The existence of high quality lecturers in a university can produce excellent graduates. For this reason, the development of professionalism for lecturers is very important and through this training is expected to improve the professionalism of lecturers and the basic skills possessed through the material provided, among others, the impact of the industrial revolution 4.0 and the Higher Education SN and the enhancement of SPMI.

Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng said that the purpose of this activity is to improve the quality of Unud graduates with regard to SPMI standards, Higher Education SN and Unud Standards. Later it is expected that the professionalism of lecturers will be better and will have a great impact on graduates' competencies so that they are more qualified, so that the profile of graduates has adequate competence, the percentage of graduates getting jobs increases, and the study period of students is shorter and able to compete in the work world not only internally but also abroad. Through this training also the capacity of lecturers will be better and is expected to increase capacity especially in terms of rank, certification and career path so that fewer have problems with rank.
