DEVELOP BIOENERGI, GREENWIN BUILD 3RD BIOENERGY AND ELECTRIFICATION WORKSHOP

Denpasar-Udayana University in cooperation with the European Commission, GreenWIN, TRANSrisk, SEI, su-re.co, Bappenas and BMKG held 3rd Bioenergy and Electrification Workshop on "Synergizing Adaptation & Mitigation of Climate Change Through 100% Electrification Rate and Climate Smart Agriculture "Tuesday (10/04/2018) in Hall Room of Postgraduate Building of Sudirman Campus Denpasar, opened by Rector Unud, and lasted for 2 days (10-11 April 2018).

Prof. I Made Suastra, as the organizer committee said that this Workshop is a continuation of GreenWIN project which has been going on for three years in the framework of energy development. As is known, the GreenWin Project is a project focused on energy availability, and this is in line with the efforts of the Indonesian government which is currently focused on alleviating the lack of energy and food security. For that we need to do various efforts through bioenergy production one of them with GreenWIN project in Bali.

Participants in attendance are GreenWIN members who receive funding from the European Community and environmentalists from Europe. Prof. Suastra also conveyed in three years of cooperation that was woven at least already have partners of cooperation. The special material discussed in the worksop is the products resulting from the project that has been done. For Unud own products that have been produced are agricultural products and equipment. Prof. Suastra hopes that Unud researchers can take advantage of opportunities to collaborate and synergize with researchers from Europe in reaching funding.

Rector of Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. A.A Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) in his speech as a member of GreenWIN, Udayana University always supports activities that can contribute to the development of Indonesia. The Rector also appreciates all those who have contributed to this workshop and hopes to provide motivation to develop environmentally friendly energy and climate change mitigation and to cope with the problem of depletion of fossil energy sources.
