PROGRAM STUDY MAGISTER S2 LINGUISTICS DEFENDS SUPERIOR VALUE (A)

Denpasar - Master Program (S2) of Linguistics Udayana University received the visit of National Accreditation Board of Higher Education Institution (BAN-PT) in the field assessment of accreditation process. This field assessment was conducted from 24 - 26 September 2017 with two teams attending, Prof. Dr. Baso Jabu, M. Hum and Dr. Ngadiso, M.Pd. It was located in the Senate Meeting Room of FIB Denpasar, the Rector of Unud, represented by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Head of LP3M, USDI’s Representative, Assdir I Pascasarjana and The Head of program study Master Program Linguistics received the BAN-PT Team.

In her speech, the Dean of FIB Unud, Prof. Sutjiati Beratha conveyed a mono disciplinary study program for the field of cultural sciences under the FIB as an implantation of Udayana University's OTK. Currently FIB has two program studies S2 which are namely Linguistics and Cultural Studies. This Prodi has previously obtained a superior value, and the Dean committed Master Program of Linguistics must be able to maintain a superior value in the accreditation process this time, since the Prodi S3 Linguistics and S1 both have achieved the A or superior predicate. Accreditation process also becomes media to evaluate the performance of program study both qualitative and quantitative. In addition, the predicate of accreditation is also useful for alumni who become one of the requirements to find work.

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gede Antara, M.Eng, in his speech, delivered a lot of field assessment process for several study programs in Udayana University. This field assessment process is a media confirmation of data that has been stated in the form. The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs believes that the assessment process has been well prepared and is expected to run smoothly and get a superior score. In the future, it is expected that the various study programs that achieve the superior predicate are expected to follow the international accreditation so that the quality of learning will be improved.

BAN-PT Assessor Team on this occasion conveyed previously had seen the portrait of program study S2 of Linguistics through the accreditation and on this field assessment was done by direct observation to confirm the data that have been submitted to BAN-PT. In addition, the activities that have been done in the assessment were reviewing facilities and infrastructure and discussions with the program management unit. The assessment will end with recommendations and handover report of the field assessment process. (HM)
