LPMI Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram Did A Comparative Study to Unud

Bukit Jimbaran - Udayana University received a visit from Assurance Institute of Internal Quality (LPMI) Muhammadiyah University of Mataram, Wednesday (02/08/2017). The purpose of the visit was in the framework of comparative study "Implementation of Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI)". The LPMI team of Muhammadiyah University was accepted by the Head of Quality Development, Learning and Quality Assurance (LP3M) of Udayana University along with the ranks in the Language Room of Rectorate Building.

Head of LP3M Unud, Ir. I Nengah Sujaya, M.Sc., Ph.D in his speech introduced a glimpse of the university profile. It followed by the introduction of LP3M that led by him, from organizational structure to work programs and outputs that have been produced. Furthermore, Nengah Sujaya said that currently only about 34% of Study Programs (Prodi) at Udayana were accredited and there are some new programs that are still accredited at least. With regard to quality assurance at Udayana University, Nengah Sujaya said LP3M Unud has a role in planning, implementing and supervising the quality of universities. According Sujaya, leadership commitment becomes one of the elements that are very important in the implementation of quality assurance at the university.

In the implementation of monitoring and evaluation, Udayana University uses Quesioner online by involving students, lecturers, staff and alumnus in monitoring and evaluation process (monev) of quality assurance. For accreditation process LP3M has a team of Assistant who is assigned to assist Prodi in filling BAN-PT form. One of the most recent issues in quality assurance is plagiarism, to deal with it, LP3M has the task of overseeing through validators and prevention systems. In the development effort to the international level, the university through LP3M encourages Prodi which has twice achieved A accreditation status to follow international accreditation such as AUN QA, ABET and ABEST 21.

Chairman of LPMI Muhammadiyah University, Dr. Sri Rejeki, M.Pd on this occasion said that LPMI team was formed in May 2017. Since accreditation of university (accredited B) many new things are obtained so that many achievements in the Renstra should be achieved, this is the background of comparative study to Unud . The University of Muhammadiyah has the opportunity of guidance from Dikti through Kopertis in terms of quality assurance and in this visit LPMI wants to get information related to the development of a very important data bank in the accreditation process, the policy for internal quality audit and preparation for SAPTO (Online Higher Education Accreditation System). Sri Rejeki also conveyed in quality assurance, LPMI Muhamadiyah University already has 29 standards that are expected to assist in the process of accreditation.

In the discussion discussed about database which often become obstacle in accreditation process. To overcome this, Udayana University has developed IMISSU (Integrated Management Information System, the Strategic of UNUD) is a system that developed by the USDI (Information Resource Unit) to manage university data online.
