Denpasar – The Faculty of Humanities (FIB) at Udayana University welcomed a visit from the BAN-PT Assessor Team as part of the Field Assessment for the Accreditation of the History Study Program. The activity was attended by two assessors from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), namely Dr. Abdurakhman, M.Hum., and Prof. Dr. Yety Rochwulaningsih, M.Si.
The assessment opening ceremony was held on Monday, 1 December 2025, in the Soekarno Meeting Room, Poerbatjaraka Building, 4th Floor, FIB Unud, Jalan Nias No. 13 Denpasar. The event was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, the Head of LP2M, representatives from LP3M, faculty leaders, study program coordinators, and the accreditation team of the History Study Program.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof. I Nyoman Arya Wibawa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., stated that this field assessment is an important moment for the History Study Program to obtain input from the assessors regarding the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Such feedback, he said, will serve as evaluation material to enhance the program’s operational quality.
"I hope this field assessment runs smoothly and constructively to improve the quality of education in the History Study Program," he said.
The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ir. I Nengah Sujaya, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., in his remarks expressed appreciation to FIB for achieving FIBAA international accreditation for three study programs this year. He emphasized that Udayana University is currently reviewing the development of study programs within FIB, including the History Study Program.
Furthermore, he explained that Unud is preparing to transition toward PTNBH status, which will raise the institution’s targets. Therefore, he requested extensive input from the assessors.
"Not only to meet BAN-PT standards for study program eligibility but also to identify other areas that can be improved," he added.
Assessor Dr. Abdurakhman, M.Hum., highlighted the importance of openness and clarity of information from all parties, including the study program head, lecturers, and students.
"We kindly request that whatever we ask be explained as clearly as possible so that we can accurately report it to BAN-PT," he said.
He added that the assessors’ role is not only to conduct evaluations but also to provide guidance and direction for program development. Each History Study Program, he noted, has its own characteristics, which means its developmental direction may differ. He also stressed the importance of improving human resource competencies, both academically and in supporting skills.
Meanwhile, assessor Prof. Dr. Yety Rochwulaningsih, M.Si., affirmed that they are committed to carrying out their duties in accordance with BAN-PT procedures and expressed hope that all parties can work together to present complete data and factual information.
