Udayana University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Family Gathering 2025 Carries the Theme “Rhapsody of Soul, Waves of Togetherness”
Jimbaran – The heavy rain that poured over the Jimbaran Campus area on Sunday morning, November 9, 2025, did not dampen the spirit of the academic community of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University (FKH Unud). Wearing their signature BKKH shirts, lecturers, staff, students, and alumni filled the faculty courtyard to celebrate the 42nd Veterinary Medicine Family Gathering (BKKH) and the 28th Anniversary of FKH Unud.
This year’s theme, “Rhapsody of Soul, Waves of Togetherness,” reflects the harmony and unity of the FKH Unud family. The celebration began in the morning with tree planting, group exercise, and various competitions among the academic community, followed by the official opening ceremony.
In his remarks, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. drh. I Gusti Ngurah Sudisma, M.Si, emphasized that FKH Unud is not merely an educational institution but a second home for all its members.
“Bakthi Nunggal Tanpa Tanding, FKH Unud is our second home — a place where we fulfill our life’s purpose and continue to grow,” he stated.
He also highlighted the faculty’s strategic achievements, ranging from Excellent accreditation across all study levels to the development of the Veterinary Innovation and Business Zone, which is envisioned to become a new center of economic growth on campus.
Concluding his remarks, the Dean shared a lighthearted poem:
“Flowers bloom in the royal garden,
Their colors shining bright and grand.
BKKH 42 sparkles with joy,
The 28th anniversary brings pride and unity to hand.”
The Chair of the Organizing Committee reported on the series of activities held throughout the year, including a national seminar and workshop on rabies eradication, as well as community service projects in Nusa Penida and Tabanan.
“The spirit of togetherness within FKH remains strong and timeless,” said the Chair, expressing gratitude to the alumni and the Indonesian Veterinary Medical Association (PDHI) for their enthusiastic attendance.
Representing the Rector of Udayana University, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, delivered a welcoming speech and officially opened the event. In his address, he reflected on the meaning of this year’s theme as a call to strengthen cross-generational solidarity.
“Rhapsody symbolizes the harmony of the soul, while Waves of Togetherness represent the flowing spirit of unity that continues to strengthen our sense of kinship,” he remarked.
The celebration continued with a traditional tumpeng cutting ceremony, the presentation of awards to outstanding lecturers, staff, and students, and the screening of a video montage showcasing FKH’s milestones. The event also highlighted the faculty’s achievements throughout 2025 — from international publications to national competitions — placing FKH Unud among the top five veterinary faculties in Indonesia.
The event concluded with a reflective message:
“May every step taken within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine bring peace, growth, and boundless service for the welfare of both humanity and animals.”
