The 80th Indonesian Independence Day Commemoration Ceremony at Udayana University
Jimbaran – Udayana University held a Flag Ceremony to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the Front Courtyard of the Rectorate Building, Jimbaran Campus, on Sunday (August 17, 2025). The ceremony was attended by university leaders, students, lecturers, and staff, all wearing traditional attire.
The Rector of Udayana University, Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana, served as the Inspector of the Ceremony. The ceremony was organized by the Student Regiment (Menwa) with Hamma Hualiqoilaah (Faculty of Economics and Business) as the Commander of the Ceremony, Putu Desta Paramita Ermawan (Faculty of Medicine) as the Flag Bearer, Gabriel Almendo Stacy New Guinea Warinussy (Faculty of Cultural Sciences) as the Flag Raiser, Joel Jules Chevalier Leisubun (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences) as the Flag Unfurling Officer, and musical accompaniment by the Udayana University Marching Band Student Activity Unit (UKM). The Proclamation Manuscript was read by the Chair of the Udayana University Senate, Prof. I Gede Mahardika.
During the ceremony, the Satyalancana Karya Satya medals for 10, 20, and 30 years of service were awarded to 58 lecturers and educational staff at Udayana University. A total of 52 recipients received the 10-year award, 3 recipients received the 20-year award, and 3 recipients received the 30-year award.
