In his remarks, the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, ST., Ph.D., emphasized that collaboration is essential, as no university can stand alone in building academic excellence, research, education, and most importantly, developing human resources in accordance with the university's mission of fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

"This collaboration serves as a milestone in strengthening inter-institutional relations within the spirit of Tri Dharma of Higher Education, where we each bring unique strengths and positive values that can be mutually beneficial," he said.

He further added, "We believe that this collaboration also carries a strong commitment to the sustainability of knowledge and creates extraordinary opportunities to enhance human resource capacity."

The Rector also highlighted that the spirit of a university lies in its responsibility to nurture future human resources who will contribute to nation-building. Given this shared vision and mission, there are many potential areas of collaboration made possible under the framework of this MoU and the Cooperation Agreements—ranging from joint research, education, student exchanges, and community service programs—benefiting both institutions equally.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Mulawarman University, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Abdunnur, M.Si., IPU., ASEAN Eng., in his speech, stated that the MoU signing marks an important moment in the joint effort to advance higher education in Indonesia, particularly in the eastern region of the country.

“This is part of our shared commitment to building synergy. In the future, we cannot move forward alone in advancing our respective institutions. We will progress faster and more effectively by working together, supporting, and strengthening one another,” said the Rector of Unmul.

On this occasion, he also expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from Udayana University in pursuing this collaborative synergy. He emphasized the importance of building collective strength and implementing progress in higher education, especially in Eastern Indonesia.
