Students from the Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, Carry Out MBKM Research with the UMM Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry

Thursday (2 May 2024), there was an acceptance of students from the Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, which carried out research and research collaboration with the Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), through the 2024 MBKM Research/Research Program which was implemented by the Institute for Research and Community Service at Udayana University (LPPM Unud). The reception for the Unud MBKM Research Student Team was carried out in the UMM agribusiness laboratory room and was received directly by Ary Bakhtiar, SP., M.Si as the Coordinator of the UMM Agribusiness Study Program.

The MBKM Research student team from the Unud Agribusiness Study Program consisted of I Komang Wahyu Utama Tirta, Tjokorda, wife of Mas Smaradewi, Ida Bagus Damar Putra, and Ni Kadek Pingkan Wulandari accompanied by Dr. A. A. Ayu Wulandira Sawitri Djelantik, SP., MMA. and Dr. Ir. I Made Sudarma, MS. as supervisor. This Unud student will conduct research for three months at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) in May-July 2024.

This research aims to determine the development of the agro-industrial business sector in the Greater Malang area. UMM was chosen as a research partner considering that this university has established good collaboration with several companies in Greater Malang, including Malang City, Batu City and Malang Regency.

Malang is known as one of the regions in Indonesia that has succeeded in utilizing the agro-industrial sector as one of the leading sectors effectively. Therefore, the MBKM research team from Udayana University Agribusiness Study Program students aims to investigate the Agribusiness Scheme for Agro-Industry Development in Malang Raya with the hope that the results of this research can become a reference for the development of the agro-industrial sector in Indonesia, especially in Bali Province.

Through this research, it is hoped that it can make a significant contribution to understanding the potential and challenges in developing agro-industry in Greater Malang. By collecting accurate data and analyzing it carefully, it is hoped that the Research Team can produce concrete recommendations and sustainable solutions to improve the performance of the agro-industrial sector in the region.

With support from UMM and guidance from supervising lecturers, the MBKM Research Team is ready to face challenges and explore the various potentials that Malang Raya has in the agro-industrial sector. It is hoped that the success of this research will have a broad positive impact on economic growth and sustainable development in the area.
