master of Law Study Program FH UNUD held a National Seminar

Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id – A National Seminar has been held by the Masters Study Program (S2) in Law Studies (Prodi MIH) FH UNUD. The activity was carried out in a hybrid manner, taking place in the FH UNUD Hall and using the webex platform on Tuesday (6/12/2022). The title of this national seminar is "Weakening of the Understanding and Implementation of Pancasila Ideology and National Insights in the Context of a Democratic State". The activity began with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Law UNUD (Prof. Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumerta Yasa, SH., M.Hum) who also opened the National Seminar.

 

The seminar was attended by Deputy Deans II and III, Coordinating Master of Notary Science Study Program, Coordinating Master of Law Study Program, Chairman and members of the Senate, Coordinator of the Information and Cooperation Management Unit, Lecturers, Undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral Students in the Faculty of Law UNUD. The speakers who attended were Dr. Janedjri M. Gaffar, M.Si is the Deputy for National Unity Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The Deputy said that law has 2 forms, namely: hard and soft. Currently, the law more often shows a tough figure in the form of frightening sanctions, which should be gentle, providing protection, justice and prosperity. However, legal softness is also not uncommon to be manipulated, distorted, and fabricated. This condition encourages the emergence of symptoms of distrust of the law, so that the law loses its authority. In the concluding part, the Deputy stressed the importance of "Putting Pancasilaist Laws", Pancasila must be used again as a value "glasses" to read all legal texts and legal facts.
