End of 2025, Udayana University Confers Degrees on 581 Graduates

Jimbaran – Udayana University held its 173rd Graduation Ceremony at the Widya Sabha Auditorium, Jimbaran Campus, on Saturday (December 20, 2025). On this occasion, the Rector of Udayana University officially conferred degrees upon 581 graduates. With this number, the total graduates of Udayana University to date have reached 134,138 alumni.

The 173rd graduation ceremony was held in 2025, and throughout this year, Udayana University has conducted eight graduation ceremonies.

In his report, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ir. I Nengah Sujaya, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., stated that the overall distribution of graduates by level of education consisted of 19 Doctoral graduates, 48 Master’s graduates, 41 Specialist graduates, 89 Professional Program graduates, and 384 Bachelor’s/Bachelor of Applied Science graduates. Of the total number of graduates, 108 graduates earned the distinction of Cum Laude.

Of the 384 Bachelor’s/Bachelor of Applied Science graduates, the majority were female graduates, totaling 217, while 167 were male. In terms of academic achievement, female graduates outperformed their male counterparts, with an average GPA of 3.86, compared to 3.71 for male graduates. The average study period for female graduates was 9.5 semesters, while male graduates averaged 10.5 semesters.

The University hopes that through the education they have undertaken, graduates will not only master scientific knowledge but also live as intelligent individuals who uphold good character in their professional and social lives, and consistently demonstrate dedication, innovation, and collaboration in their work. May this graduation mark a positive beginning in building careers and achieving success. Graduates are encouraged to remain enthusiastic in pursuing their dreams and enriching the broader horizons of community life.

Meanwhile, Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., in his remarks, congratulated the graduates on successfully completing their studies at Udayana University. The achievements attained, he noted, are proof of hard work throughout the academic journey, which inevitably involved various challenges and obstacles.

The graduation ceremony represents the final academic milestone in completing a level of higher education. Graduation serves as a formal acknowledgment that students have completed a certain level of education. This is also a form of Udayana University’s responsibility to the Indonesian nation and state, particularly in preparing high-quality and globally competitive human resources.

“I would like to remind all graduates that graduation and the academic degrees you have earned are not the end, but rather the beginning of new challenges in your lives. As alumni, you represent Udayana University in society. Your behavior in the community will reflect this institution,” said the Rector.

The Rector also expressed his hope that graduates would apply their knowledge in their respective professions with greater responsibility and quality.

Representing the graduates, Gina Andriana Br Sembiring shared her impressions and messages, stating that Udayana University is not merely a place to obtain an academic degree, but a learning environment that shapes ways of thinking, attitudes, and character.

“Through lectures, academic discussions, research activities, as well as various student programs and community service, we were trained to think critically, work collaboratively, and take responsibility for the knowledge we possess,” she said.

On the same occasion, she also expressed her gratitude to the lecturers and appreciation to the University for providing learning facilities and academic services that continue to be developed over time.
