Udayana University Holds Farewell and Welcome Ceremony for Chair of the Board of Supervisors
Denpasar – Udayana University (Unud) held a Farewell and Welcome Ceremony for the Chair of the Board of Supervisors at the Bangsa Room, Rectorate Building, Jimbaran Campus, on Thursday (December 18, 2025). The event served as a moment of appreciation as well as a continuation of the strategic role of the Board of Supervisors in overseeing Udayana University’s governance.
In his remarks, the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., expressed his highest appreciation and sincere gratitude to the Head of the Bali High Prosecutor’s Office, Dr. Chatarina M., S.H., S.E., M.H., who previously served as Chair of the Board of Supervisors of Udayana University for the 2021–2025 period. The Rector emphasized that the guidance, direction, and assistance provided during her term of service had made a significant contribution to strengthening the university’s governance.
On the same occasion, the Rector also conveyed his congratulations and appreciation to the newly appointed Chair of the Board of Supervisors, Prof. I Ketut Adnyana, M.Si., Ph.D. He expressed his hope that Udayana University would continue to receive constructive input, guidance, and supervision in support of achieving the university’s vision and mission in the future.
Meanwhile, the former Chair of the Board of Supervisors, Dr. Chatarina M., S.H., S.E., M.H., expressed her hope that Udayana University would continue to move swiftly in learning and carrying out continuous improvement efforts as a Public Service Agency (BLU) university toward becoming a State University with Legal Entity Status (PTNBH). Nevertheless, she emphasized that the most important aspect lies not merely in the change of status, but in the transformation of organizational culture toward greater professionalism, accountability, and performance orientation.
Furthermore, she highlighted that one of the key challenges entrusted to the new Chair of the Board of Supervisors is how Udayana University can demonstrate a strong commitment to the optimal and sustainable utilization of its assets.
In his remarks, the new Chair of the Board of Supervisors of Udayana University, Prof. I Ketut Adnyana, M.Si., Ph.D., emphasized that the university’s assets are not limited to physical assets alone, but also include far more valuable assets such as the expertise of its human resources, innovative products generated, and collaborative networks with third parties. According to him, optimizing these assets is key to generating sustainable revenue to support the future development of Udayana University.
This farewell and welcome ceremony is expected to mark the beginning of strengthened synergy between the university leadership and the Board of Supervisors in realizing excellent, competitive, and sustainable governance at Udayana University.
