Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Culture Inaugurates Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, MT., Ph.D Becomes Rector of Udayana University

Jakarta - Located at Plaza Insan Berprestasi, Ki Hajar Dewantara Building, the Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Education and Culture, held the inauguration of officials within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Friday (3/11/2023). The inauguration began with the reading of the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology regarding the appointment of leaders of state universities, senior high level administrators, administrators and supervisors as well as functional officials within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. In this decision the Minister of Education and Culture appointed Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, MT., Ph.D as Rector of Udayana University. Apart from the Rector of Udayana University, at this inauguration the Minister of Education and Culture also appointed the Head of the National Achievement Center and several other officials.

The oath or promise of office and inauguration were carried out by the Secretary General (Sesjen) of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Ir. Suharti, MA., Ph.D, followed by installing the Rector's necklace to Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Ir. Suharti, MA., Ph.D in his speech said that the task at the Ministry of Education and Culture is very big because Indonesia's future is very much determined by how we build education and culture accompanied by the development of research and technology. Moreover, 2024 is the final year for implementing the 2020-2024 medium-term development plan which we have translated into the strategic plan of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. We must strive to achieve the development targets that are the task of the Ministry of Education and Culture. Therefore, we must use the next year as well as possible, including if necessary carrying out rotations and promotions as we are doing today to improve the performance of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

"Our special message to Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, MT., Ph.D, who was appointed today as Rector of Udayana University, is to immediately consolidate and return to focus on overseeing the process of implementing higher education services at Udayana University. Apart from that, we hope that you will immediately "together with the Udayana University Senate, we will carry out preparations for the Rector election process within the next year at the latest," said the Secretary General.

To all appointed officials, the party always urges all ASN in their respective work units to maintain neutrality as state administrators while carrying out their duties and be able to uphold the code of ethics and code of behavior and become professional ASN.

The inauguration ended with congratulations to the newly appointed officials by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Culture, followed by the officials present and the guests.
