UNUD Holds Socialization of the 2021 New Student Admission System

Udayana University held socialization of SNMPTN, SBMPTN, Independent Pathways and KIP-Tuition Scholarships in 2021 for Principals and representatives of SMA / SMK / MA students throughout Bali Province which was carried out online through the Unud Webex Application, Wednesday (27/1/2021) . The program can also be watched live streaming or broadcast via Youtube Udayana TV.

Unud Chancellor Prof. A.A Raka Sudewi in his speech said that the implementation of this socialization was held online considering that currently there is an increase in Covid-19 cases, especially in Bali Province, and in accordance with central government instructions regarding the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) for the Java and Bali regions. The implementation of this outreach is very important in order to provide the widest possible information regarding admission to state universities.

The implementation of admission to state universities in 2021 is carried out centrally through the Higher Education Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT). There are three selection paths, namely SNMPTN, SBMPTN and Independent selection, with the selection process being carried out digitally through the Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK). The model for testing and selecting new student candidates refers to the principles of fairness, transparency, flexibility, efficiency and accountability. For initial information, the quota for each route is SNMPT minimum 20 percent, SBMPTN minimum 40 percent and Mandiri selection maximum 30 percent with total capacity at Udayana University for 2021 totaling 6,349 people.

Through this socialization activity, the Chancellor hopes to provide information as clearly as possible to representatives of SMA / SMK / MA and pass this information on to students in their respective schools. In this activity, it was also informed about the KIP-College scholarship in 2021 issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture which is aimed at helping outstanding students who are less well off in terms of material to continue their education.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bali Provincial Education and Youth Office in his remarks delivered by the Head of the UPTD Education Technology Development Center, Luh Made Seriarningsih, said that the education sector is one of the keys to improving Bali's human resources. For this reason, cross-level cooperation and synergy must be improved because one-level graduates become input for the next level. The Bali Kadisdikpora appreciates the implementation of this socialization and hopes that the participants will be able to listen well to the information submitted and later socialize it to their respective work units, so that the wider the distribution of information for students in Bali Province to take part in the selection process and get KIP-College scholarships.

The socialization material related to the new student admission system in 2021 was delivered by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara and Sub-Coordinator for Academic and Statistics BAKH Unud. Vice Chancellor Prof. Antara on the occasion said that PTN had an assignment from LTMPT to socialize the new student admission process in their respective environments. There are important and crucial things that must be known in order to inform students, so that the information obtained is correct, clear and accountable. In the material, important points from the new student admission system were also presented, both through the SNMPTN, SBMPTN and the Independent selection path.

The KIP-Lecture scholarship information material was delivered by the Head of the Unud Scholarship Unit Ida Bagus Wayan Gunam, Ph.D. KIP College is an educational aid provided by the government to SMA / SMK / equivalent graduates for underprivileged families in order to continue their education, and for 2021 the government expands the target scholarship recipients.
