Social Service While Improving the Competence of Young Doctors Through Family Planning Services in the Jembrana Region

The Bali Province BKKBN and Jembrana Regency KB OPD collaborate with the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University to carry out free family planning services to increase the number of standardized/competent, affordable and quality health workers for family planning and family planning services, so it is necessary to carry out Pre Service Training for medical students family planning services and as a follow-up from public lectures and mannequin practice that have been carried out previously. This social service activity was held in three locations, namely East Loloan Village, Sanggar Agung Village and Yeh Kuning Village, Jembrana Regency with the number of acceptors served as many as 45 people in the form of IUD services as many as 7 people and Implant services as many as 38 people. This social service activity will be held again on April 12 and 18, 2022.

 

This event was attended and at the same time opened by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, FK Unud, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT (K) who on this occasion represented the Dean of FK Unud. He welcomed the implementation of this activity, which is very important for academics in carrying out the Tridharma of Higher Education, especially carrying out community service. This activity can also improve the competence of medical students and hopes that it will be scheduled regularly and continuously so that it will increase service activities to the community.

"Activities like this will help improve the competence of medical students so that in the future they will be ready to enter and serve in the community," added Dr. Eka Wiratnaya.

 

The event was also attended by the Head of the Bali Province BKKBN, dr. Ni Luh Gede Sukardiasih, M.For., MARS., Head of the Office of Women Empowerment and Child Protection, Population Control, and Family Planning in Jembrana Regency Ni Kade Ari Sugianti, S.Pd., M.Pd., Coordinator of the Bachelor of Medicine Study Program dr . I Wayan Sumardika, S.Ked., M.Med Ed., Ph. D., East Loloan Head of Jembrana Ida Bagus Komang Wibawa Manuaba, AP and 80 young doctors who have completed their cycles and 3 residents of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
