Dedicated to Farmers, Lecturer of TPB FTP Unud Study Program Receives an Award from the Cool Young Farmers Forum
Lecturer in the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Study Program who is also the Chairperson of UCDP (Udayana Community Development Program), namely Prof. Ir. I Made Supartha Utama, M.S.,Ph.D. received an award from the Cool Young Farmers Forum for their dedication to Farmers in fostering Farmers to implement value chains. The award was handed over at the Independent Farmers Festival with the theme "Forward Prosperity Without Subsidies" in Jatiluwih on December 1st , 2022.
The Independent Farmers Festival is an activity initiated by the Cool Young Farmers Forum (PMK) which is a movement that seeks to invite young Indonesians to return to farming to become advanced, independent and modern farmers. The Independent Farmers Festival activities are fully supported and opened directly by the Governor of Bali, Dr. Ir. I Wayan Koster, M.M., and also attended by the Special Staff of the Indonesian President, the Head of the BNPPSDMP Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Regent of Tabanan, Heads of Related OPDs, Vertical Agencies, Cool Young Farmer Founders and PMK members throughout Bali and attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Technology Agriculture represented by the Coordinator of the FTP Unud Collaboration Unit Mrs. Dr. Dewa Ayu Anom Yuarini, S.TP., M.Agb as a form of support for the realization of national food security.
Dr. Dewa Ayu Anom Yuarini, S.TP., M.Agb as a representative from FTP Unud said that she was proud to be able to join and attend the Independent Farmers Festival activities, besides that she also congratulated Prof. Ir. I Made Supartha Utama, M.S.,Ph.D. who has received an award from PMK for his dedication to fostering farmers to apply the value chain of agricultural products. In addition, the Governor of Bali, Mr. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Koster, M.M. in his remarks explained, Agriculture that develops must be organic farming, namely agriculture that cannot kill other elements of life. "Organic farming is the right step to protect the ecosystem itself, to maintain healthy and quality soil," he explained at the time.
