Strengthening Sense of Family and Solidarity Between Food Technology Students, HIMATEPA Holds EXPO and MAKRAB

Food Technology Student Association (HIMATEPA), Faculty of Agricultural Technology held an EXPO activity for innovative gluten-free products and Student Familiarity Night as the highlight of the Festival of Food Technology (FESFOOD) on Sunday 6th  November 2022 at Garden Groove Sanur. The EXPO activity was opened directly by the Coordinator of the Food Technology Study Program, Dr. Gusti Ayu Kadek Diah, S.TP., M.Si and attended by all students of the Food Technology Study Program Class of 2020-2022 along with the head of the student body within the Faculty of Agricultural Technology.

 

The EXPO activity has the theme "Utilizing Local Food Ingredients in Creating Processed Plant-based Foods for the Realization of Healthy and Quality Food Products". This activity is an exhibition of creative products that have been made in first aid activities, where at the EXPO activity, first aid products are sold and posters and products are judged by the Food Technology Study Program lecturer to determine the best participants. The jury for this activity consisted of Mrs. Sayi Hatiningsih, S.TP., M.Si, Putu Julyantika Nica Dewi, S.TP., M.TP. and I Gede Arie Mahendra Putra, S.TP., M.TP.

 

The Fesfood Peak Night Activity is the final series of Festival of Food Technology activities carried out with the theme "ONIGIRI (One Fine Grand Night of Bonding and Cherishing with Food Technology)". This activity was opened by Mrs. A.A. Sri Wiadnyani's wife, S.TP., M.Sc. The 2022 fesfood peak night activity is held as a moment of intimacy that must be followed by the 2020-2022 generation. This activity aims to strengthen a sense of kinship and a sense of solidarity among Food Technology students. Where the event was enlivened by talent performances from each group and representatives from each generation. The talent performances include live acoustic, dance, and so on. In addition, at the peak night activity, there was the announcement of the 2022 FESFOOD P3K winners.

 

The Innovation Products that won the Best Participant category in Expo activities were Rotachi (carrot-based mochi cake), Totero Steak (analog steak made from young jackfruit) and KyaMochi (cassava-based mochi product) while for Posters won by Totero Steak, Rotachi and Goguma Soy (a drink made from purple sweet potato and soy milk).

 

 

Ida Bagus Gede Mahatma Nanda as the head of HIMATEPA hopes that this activity can increase the solidarity of the students of the Food Technology Study Program, besides that it is also hoped that from this activity product innovation and posters produced by students in the P3K program can also be developed and commercialized which later is expected to become a characteristic student products from the Food Technology Study Program.
