Visit from Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) Professors and Scientists

As the first step in international cooperation, the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University received a visit from professors and scientists from the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST). The activity discussed several forms of collaboration that can be carried out jointly between the two institutions, such as holding conferences, joint research, and publications at the international level.

Professors and scientists from the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) on Thursday, August 4 visit the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University. This activity took place in Meeting Room 2, 3rd Floor, Dean Building, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, Jimbaran. The visit was aimed at sharing and discussing information on activities carried out in each institution so that in the future it can be developed into a form of cooperation.

On this occasion, Vice Dean for Academic and Planning,  Prof. I Nyoman Suprapta Winaya, ST., MA.Sc., Ph.D., started the event by opening and showing a video about the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University. The Coordinators of the Study Programs who were also present in the meeting, i.e., Doctoral of Engineering Study Program, Information Technology Study Program, Electrical Engineering Study Program, and Environmental Engineering Study Program also conveyed the activities carried out in their respective Study Programs, especially those that could be carried out through international collaboration or collaboration. In addition, information opportunities to conduct research in Bali, Indonesia, through the Udayana University International Senior Researcher Fellowship program in collaboration with one of the lecturers/researchers at Udayana University was also shared in the meeting.

A total of 10 professors and scientists from VAST attended this visit, i.e, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dai Hung (Former Director, Institute of Physics (IOP) VAST), Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khoa Son (Former Vice President of VAST), Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoa (Vice-Director, Institute of Mechanics, VAST), Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Quang (Director, Center for Informatics and Computing), Prof. Dr. Nguyen Truong Thang (Vice-Director, Information Technology, VAST), Prof. Dr. Pham Thanh Giang (Information Technology, VAST), Prof. Dr. Nguyen Long Giang (Vice-Director, Information Technology, VAST), Prof. Bui Dinh Tri (Center for Research and Technology Transfer, VAST), Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Dung (Vice-Director, Information Technology, VAST), and Dr. Pham Van Bach Ngoc (Vietnam Space Technology Institute, VAST).

VAST, which is located in Hanoi, Vietnam, provides some information related to the programs that have been implemented, such as Masters and Doctoral programs, research collaboration programs, conferences, and international publications.
