IKAYANA FGD Discusses the Tourism Law
Denpasar – The Vice Rector for Student Affairs of Udayana University officially opened a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) organized by the Udayana University Alumni Association (IKAYANA) under the theme “Reflections on the Tourism Law and Its Implementation Strategies.” The activity took place at the Dharma Negara Alaya Building, Denpasar, on Friday, 12 December 2025.
The FGD was attended by the Chair of IKAYANA, the Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, as well as invited guests representing various stakeholders in the tourism sector.
In his remarks, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S.P., M.Agr., stated that this FGD plays a strategic role in strengthening synergy among policymakers, academics, and tourism industry practitioners. According to him, this is particularly important in the context of Bali as a leading national tourism destination.
He also expressed his hope that this forum would foster critical and constructive dialogue among the government, academics, industry players, and the wider community. Through such collaboration, the implementation of the Tourism Law is expected to be carried out optimally and aligned with the principles of sustainability and the improvement of local community welfare.
