Udayana University Faculty of Law PKM Team Makes History, Qualifies for the 2025 National Student Scientific Week

Denpasar – Another outstanding achievement has been made by students of the Faculty of Law, Udayana University. The Udayana University Student Creativity Program (PKM) Team has successfully advanced to the 2025 National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS), the highest scientific competition for Indonesian students organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.

The team, led by Firmansyah Krisna Maulana (Law 2022), along with members Ni Kadek Dinda Prameswari (Medicine 2023), I Kadek Sri Pradnyanni Iswari Dewi (Cultural Sciences 2023), and Ni Putu Essa Pradevi (Law 2024), passed a highly competitive selection process and was officially declared qualified for PIMNAS after undergoing national-level evaluation. The team is supervised by Faculty of Law lecturer Bima Kumara Dwi Atmaja, S.H., M.H.

Their scientific work, titled “Sing Beling Sing Nganten: Challenging the Normalization of Premarital Sexuality in Bali Through Socio-Cultural Construction from the Perspective of Feminist Legal Theory”, addresses issues of gender equality and the protection of women within Bali’s socio-cultural structures that remain deeply rooted in patriarchal values. This research highlights how moral and customary perspectives that often stigmatize women can lead to injustice and discrimination against women’s rights.
