Denpasar – A team from the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology conducted a visitation as part of the monitoring and evaluation of the PPK Ormawa Towards Abdidaya 2025 implementation. The activity took place at the Nusantara Room, Agrokompleks Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, on Tuesday (November 3, 2025). The event was attended by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs of Udayana University, the Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau, the Chair and Secretary of the Udayana Student Creative Center, the Head of the Character Development and Community Service Unit, PPK Ormawa supervising lecturers, PPK Ormawa reviewer lecturers, and other invited guests. The Belmawa review team consisted of Sahran Saputra and Hari Jefri Vernando, who will carry out the visitation over two days, from November 3–4, 2025. During the visitation, each PPK Ormawa team was accompanied by their respective supervising lecturers. In 2025, three PPK Ormawa teams were visited: The Environmental Engineering Student Association (HMTL) with the proposal titled “Integrated Appropriate Technology for Water and Energy Conservation with Sekaa Kertih as an Effort for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation in Tihingan Village”; The Industrial Engineering Student Association with the proposal “Serikat (Synergy of Tuna Fish Chain Innovation): Applying Circular Economy with Zero Waste Principles to Improve the Welfare of Fishermen Families in Seraya Timur Village”; and The Mechanical Engineering Student Association with the proposal “Seri-luh Toga: Empowering the Community in Preserving Ancestral Heritage through the Smart Technology-Based Asman Toga Program in Gunaksa Village.” In his remarks, Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S.P., M.Agr., expressed his deepest appreciation and pride on behalf of Udayana University to the PPK Ormawa teams for their outstanding dedication. He stated that reaching the visitation stage is concrete proof of Udayana students’ commitment to applying science and technology for community empowerment in Tihingan, Gunaksa, and Seraya Timur. “This visitation is a crucial stage. We hope that through this process, you will conduct an in-depth evaluation of the program’s implementation, achievements, and sustainability potential. We are very open to all input, constructive criticism, and suggestions that will serve as valuable insights to improve the quality of this program and other student activities in the future,” he said. The Vice Rector further emphasized that Udayana University is fully committed to supporting the continuity of student-initiated community empowerment programs so that their positive impact can be sustained and felt by local communities in the long term. He also extended his best wishes to the reviewer team, hoping the visitation would run smoothly and that the synergy between universities, students, and communities would continue to strengthen. Meanwhile, Belmawa Reviewer Hari Jefri Vernando congratulated the PPK Ormawa implementation teams for successfully passing through various stages, from funding to the Implementation Progress Assessment (PKP). “We want to emphasize that you are the best of the best during the PKP phase, which is why we decided to visit you in person,” he said. He added that the teams’ success in reaching the visitation stage was not the result of one party alone but the outcome of strong synergy among all players on campus — including the university leadership, supervising lecturers, student organizations, and the implementing teams themselves. “We highly appreciate the commitment and vision of Udayana University, which continues to empower local communities, especially here in Bali, a region rich in unique cultural and religious values,” he noted. Based on the PKP reports received, the programs presented by the teams were excellent, with remarkable impact and promising potential. The purpose of this visit, therefore, is to verify and observe directly the programs previously presented during the PKP phase. “Do not feel pressured during the village visitation. Show things as they are and present your activities with your best enthusiasm. We hope today’s and tomorrow’s visits proceed smoothly, with favorable weather and a conducive atmosphere, so we can achieve the best possible outcomes,” he concluded.
