Udayana University Receives Delegation Visit from Tsinghua University, China

Jimbaran, July 30, 2025 – Udayana University (Unud) welcomed an honorary visit from Tsinghua University, China, led by Prof. Yang Bin along with 12 other delegates. This visit marks the first time Tsinghua University has visited Udayana University and was warmly received by the Rector of Unud, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., along with other university leaders.

In his welcoming remarks, the Rector of Unud provided a general overview of Udayana University, including the number of faculties, postgraduate programs, lecturers, administrative staff, and active students. He also mentioned that Unud has established collaborations with several institutions in China, including the School of Architecture at Tsinghua University and the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center (TSEA), located at the United in Diversity (UID) Bali Campus.

“We are very open to expanding the collaboration that has already been established. Especially in today’s digital era, cooperation in digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) development is crucial for us to pursue together. In addition, we also welcome collaborations related to cultural heritage, particularly through the TCI, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, and the Faculty of Tourism,” said the Rector.

Prof. Yang Bin expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome extended by Udayana University. He also thanked Unud for its support of the presence and development of the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center (TSEA) in Bali.

“We hope that the ongoing collaboration will continue and expand into various other strategic areas,” said Prof. Yang.

The visit was also attended by members of Udayana University's leadership team accompanying the Rector, including the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information; the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB); the Coordinator of International Affairs (KUI); the Rector’s Staff for Institutional Development; the Head and Secretary of the AI Center at Unud; the Coordinator of Cooperation and Public Relations; the Chairperson of TCI Indonesia; and the Chairperson of TCI China. The Tsinghua University delegation consisted of academics and institutional officials. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a shared commitment to strengthening international relations in education and research.
