Udayana University Collaborates with Malang State University to Organize Training for Candidates for PEKERTI and AA Training Instructors

Udayana University (Unud) collaborates with Malang State University to organize training for prospective PEKERTI and AA training instructors. This activity was carried out by the Udayana University Learning Development and Quality Assurance Institute in collaboration with the Malang State University Education and Learning Development Institute which took place online via Zoom Meeting on April 24-26 2024.

Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana in his speech which also opened the Training of Trainer (ToT) Training for Basic Skills Improvement of Instructional Techniques (PEKERTI) and Applied Approch (AA) said that on a regular basis, Unud has conducted PEKERTI and AA training for lecturers in the internal environment of Unud with facilitator from the LP3M Team. However, to improve the external quality of training and the abilities of facilitators, it is necessary to carry out ToT for PEKERTI Unud trainers who collaborate with LPM State University of Malang.

Through this ToT training, it is hoped that it can produce PEKERTI-AA Trainers/Instructors and implement the Ministry of Education and Culture's policy regarding PEKERTI-AA Training Instructor Certification.
The participants who took part in this ToT were 29 prospective PEKERTI-AA instructor lecturers from Udayana University who had fulfilled the requirements including: having attended PEKERTI-AA training as proven by a certificate, having a doctoral education qualification with a minimum position of Lector or having a Masters education qualification with a minimum position Head Lecturer, has NIDN/NIDK, and already has a Lecturer Certificate (passed Serdos).

At this ToT, facilitators from the State University of Malang were also present, including Prof. Dr. Lia Yuliati., M.Pd. with material on PEKERTI Training Management and Curriculum and Active Learning in Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Hardika, M. Pd. with material about Learning Paradigms in Higher Education, as well as Dr. Titik Harsiati., M.Pd. and Dr Munzil., M.Pd with material on Classroom Management in Learning and Training.
