Udayana University Holds "Socialization of the Independent-Internal Student Exchange Program (PMM-DN)"

Following up on the Medka-Domestic Student Exchange Program (PMM-DN), Udayana University conducted a socialization that took place both online and offline from the Widya Sabha Auditorium Building, Jimbaran Campus, Monday (21/6/2021). Participants in the socialization consisted of Faculty Leaders, Institution Leaders, Bureau Heads, Information Resources Unit (USDI), International Affairs Office (KUI), Curriculum Coordinator and other Coordinators, Faculty UP3M, Coorprodi, Student Executive Board (BEM), Development Unit Student Activities and Non-Health Undergraduate Study Program students.

The Independent Campus Policy which has been launched by the Minister of Education and Culture is one of the policies that will become the basic capital for the progress of higher education in Indonesia which aims to create competitive human beings, namely healthy, intelligent, adaptive, creative, innovative, skilled, dignified, human beings. productive, and character in accordance with the values ​​of Pancasila.

The socialization event was opened by the Rector of Unud, Prof. A.A Raka Sudewi who in his speech said that the independent campus provides opportunities for students to seek experience in the real world. Students may study off-campus 2 out of 3 semesters which are their right. There are 8 types of off-campus learning activities, namely internships/work practices, village projects, teaching in schools, student exchanges, research, entrepreneurial activities, independent studies/projects, and humanitarian projects, all of which must be supervised by lecturers. The independent student exchange program is one type of implementation of independent learning activities. Independent Student Exchange is a one-semester student exchange from one regional cluster to another that provides an experience of diversity and a credit transfer system of 20 credits.

Udayana University is committed to and fully supports independent learning activities, especially student exchange in this country. This program is not only important for increasing the competitiveness of graduates but also for the achievement of the Main Performance Index (KPI). In order for this program to run successfully, several preparatory steps have been taken, such as the appointment of a college coordinator, registration of the courses offered and the archipelago module. Taking into account the stages, it can be seen that this program involves various parties such as subject lecturers, academic supervisors, study programs, faculties and universities. Therefore, there needs to be a good understanding of the relevant parties, so that the domestic student exchange program runs successfully. The Rector hopes that through this socialization complete information will be obtained so that this program can run smoothly and can encourage and motivate students to take part in the PMM-DN exchange program.

The resource persons in the socialization are Dr. Ir. I Ketut Sardiana, M.Si as the Coordinator of PMM-DN Unud with the moderator Dr. Ni Luh Ramaswati Purnawan. In his material, I Ketut Sardiana conveyed an overview of the program, terms and conditions, mechanism, registration method, timeline and additional information about the Teaching Campus. The benefits that students get from participating in the PMM-DN program include the recognition of a credit score of 20 credits, support for various incentives, the opportunity to mingle with various backgrounds to increase the value of unity and nationalism, gain experience studying at other universities to strengthen and expand competence and experience of diversity through the Nusantara module.
