Scientific Forum: Knowledge to Action Advancing Resilience Through Equity, Technology, and Governance

International Scholars, Researchers, and Practitioners will come together during the UN Global Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction UN GPDRR (globalplatform.undrr.org) to share and discuss the challenges and opportunities to build just and resilient communities in the face of climate change, natural and technological hazards, and other complex threats. 

About the Scientific Forum
The forum will feature presentations from Indonesian, U.S., and Asia/Pacific higher education institutions about new technologies and strategies for workforce development and community- and university-based initiatives to support disaster risk reduction. Researchers, scholars, and students will present on disaster response and recovery, training and capacity building, cross-sectoral engagement and measurement of progress towards the achievement of resilience goals and objectives. The forum seeks to develop and sustain  city-to-city, university-to-university, and peer-to-peer knowledge exchange, evaluative metrics, and commitments to translate resilience knowledge into action. 

Open Call for Abstracts
Paper and poster abstracts aligned with Forum Session Topics can be submitted by May 10, 2022 (300 words maximum). Selected proposals will be presented at the Scientific Forum. Participants may submit up to 1 paper and 1 poster abstract maximum. Please use the registration link below to submit an abstract.
