Arteriovenous fistula is the ideal access for dialysis but complication and it’s failure is the challenging problem. The aim of this study is to evaluate influenced risk factors and outcome in patients with arteriovenous fistula. Method In this cohort retrospective study, we followed 78 patients and evaluated them for fistula’s outcome and pure factors affecting failure of fistula. The risk factors identified were age, sex, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, fistula location, previous intravenous catheter, body mass index, haemoglobin, APTT, and PTT. We followed the fistulas that can be used for dialysis routinely minimal 3 months post operation. The pure risk factors affecting fistula’s outcome were analyzed by bivariate and multivariate cox regression analysis. Incidence rate ratio each risk factor to fistula was determined by survival analysis Kaplan Meier. Result From bivariate analysis, we found three significant risk factors : age, diabetes mellitus, and hipertension. After multivariate analysis, we obtained two risk factors were statistically significant to the outcome of fistula, namely: age and diabetes. According Kaplan Meier analysis, there was meaningful result between time of fistula’s failure with age and diabetes. Conclusion
