Design of SSH Port Security by Using Port Knocking With SMS Token

SSH is an alternative port security in the form of remote login. With the SSH, user can control the port remotely. The use of SSH port is now highly developed. With the development of today's technology, a lot of alternatives that can be used to enhance the security of SSH port. The study will carry out an SSH port security research that uses the Random Port Knocking by SMS Gateway-based development. From the research result, it is concluded that the development of Port Knocking integrated with SMS token is proven to increase security on the SSH port, because the mechanism of opening and closing of ports can only be done if there is a command from the mobile phone network administrator (more privacy). It is to overcome the possibility of Brute Force on SSH, because it is not possible to connect to the SSH port, so it is impossible to carry out the guessing of username and password with Brute Force, then by using Random Port Knocking, the integrity of security on the SSH server can be improved.
