PERBEDAAN KADAR PO2 KONSENTRAT TROMBOSIT PADA PENYIMPANAN HARI I, III, V DI UNIT DONOR DARAH PMI PROVINSI BALI / RSUP SANGLAH DENPASAR

Platelet transfusions using Platelet Concentrates (PCs) is one of the important medical treatment for thrombocytopenic patients. One main problem in the platelet concentrates storage process is the change in pO2 levels of platelet concentrates. This study was conducted to see the difference in pO2 levels of platelet concentrates on the storage day 1, 3, and 5 at Unit Donor Darah PMI Provinsi Bali/ RSUP Sanglah Denpasar.This study is an observational analytic study. Of the 18 platelet concentrates bag samples which examined, obtained an average pO2 levels on day 1, 3, and 5, which is 137.83 ± 39.99, 170.05 ± 22.42, 159.61 ± 35.60. ANOVA showed results that there is a significant difference in pO2 levels (p < 0.01) in platelet concentrates which stored on day 1, 3, and 5. The post hoc test showed that the significant difference in pO2 is only between day 1 and day 3, whereas on day 1 and day 5 or between day 3 and day 5 obtained the difference of pO2 levels are not significant. The tendency of pO2 during the storage is increasing. Based on this study, it can be concluded that platelet concentrates which stored at Unit Donor Darah PMI Provinsi Bali/ RSUP Sanglah Denpasar have a significant differences in pO2 levels between day 1 and day 3. Meanwhile, the insignificant differences of pO2 was found when storage exceeds the day 3. The pO2 levels during storage has increased.
