PROFILE OF SCABIES DISEASE IN CHILDREN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL AT AL ISLAM HIDAYATULLAH FOUNDATION DENPASAR, BALI 2014

Scabies is a skin infection due to disease and sensitization to mite infestation with Sarcoptes scabiei hominis and product variants. Scabies disease can be transmitted through direct contact by mites and cause itching in the human body so that it can develop into a secondary infection. The aim of the study to determine the profile of scabies disease based on age, lesion location, lesion signs, and personal hygiene behavior in children junior high school at Yayasan Al Islam Hidayatullah Denpasar 2014. This study is a descriptive cross sectional study with data collection through interviews. Profile disease scabies, there were 7 cases of 35 respondents. Cases of scabies occur in boys who are in the age range 10 years to 13 years (20%). The proportion of the lesion location is obtained in wrists 43%, between fingers and wrist 29%, 14% obtained on the sidelines of the fingers, and at the foot of 14%. The proportion of lesions most common signs of erythema, bullae and crusts 29%, erythema only 28%, and 14% erythema, crusting, and pustules. The proportion of personal hygiene individuals who had contact with patients with skin disease 100%, whereas the frequency of the bath, all the children (100%) can shower 2 times a day.
