PREVALENCE OF LUNG FUNCTION DISORDER DUE TO EXPOSURE OF SMOKE ON SATAY SELLER IN DENPASAR

Satay seller is one of the job that have risk of exposure to air pollution caused by the smoke of burning charcoal. The amount of harmful substances contained in smoke can trigger pulmonary function disorder. This cross-sectional study was aimed to determine the prevalence of pulmonary function disorder experienced by satay seller in Denpasar. The data used is primary data that obtained through direct measurement using a measuring instrument of lung function named spirometry. Measurement of 50 samples that uses in this study resulted that the most common lung disorder were restrictive lung disorder that consist of 41 people (82%), the other 2 people (4%) had obstructive lung disorder, 1 people with mix lung disorder, and the remain 6 people (12%) with normal lung function. If the degree of lung function seen by the body mass index, then the lung disorder was seen most is with overweight body mass category which is 46%. The other risk factor was the history of smoking which is in this study the most common was people with history of smoking that consist of 74% of all samples. In this study also lung disorder was found the most common in people that have been working for more than 15 years which is consist of 50% respondents. The last is when the lung disorder distributed by the age group it was found the most common within group with age 41-55 years old (36%)
