PROBABILITY SCORES OF DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS IN SHOPPING CENTER CASHIER EMPLOYEES USING HIGH HEELS IN DENPASAR

One of the vascular diseases that could be induced by static working position is Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). In community, DVT has a high prevalence. This disease often called “silent killer” since it usually not showing signs and symptoms. The aim of this research is to know the probability score of DVT in supermarket cashier employees using high heels in Denpasar. This research is a descriptive research using a cross sectional method which is done in 52 cashier employees in supermarkets in Denpasar, Bali in 2014. This research used adaptation questionnaire of Well’s score criteria to describe probability score of DVT in cashier employees from several working aspects. This research found majority of respondents (57,69%) were at moderate to high risk of DVT. Observing from the height of heels used at work, majority of respondent were at moderate to high risk with percentage ? 3 cm (61,11%), > 3 cm - ? 5 cm (64,29%), and > 5 cm - ? 7 cm (83,33%). Observing from working experience, majority of respondent were at moderate to high risk with percentage 1-12 month (62,5%), 13-24 month (66,67%) and ? 24 month (75%). As a conclusion, from the Well’s score criteria most of the respondents were at moderate to high risk of DVT from the whole variable including the height of heels and the working experiences.
