Morbidity and mortality rates of diarrhea in Indonesia are high, where the contamination of food by Escherchia coli is one of the causes of diarrhea. Daluman is one of popular in Balinesse people which is highly vulnerable to bacterial contamination. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence of bacteria E. coli serotype O157 on daluman are sold in Denpasar. This research is a descriptive observational study with explorative design on 10 samples obtained daluman with nonrandom sampling technique. In this sutdy used media Tryptic Soy Broth (TSB) as fertilizer bacterial colonies, McConkey as insulation gram-negative bacteria, and eosin Methylen Blue Agar (EMBA) in the identification Eschercia Coli. Planting in the media Sorbitol MacConkey Agar (SMAC) if the E. coli colonies obtained on media EMBA. At the ten samples grown on McConkey media from media fertilizing TSB, only one sample with a code indicating DF pink colonies suspected E. coli colonies. But once planted in the media EMBA, the DF samples showed no metallic green colored colonies. On microscopic examination were taken from colonies McConkey, sample code DA, DD and DJ observed colonies of bacteria shaped bacillus red and the sample with code DB, DC, DE, DF, DG, DH, and DI observed colonies of bacteria shaped coccobacillus with red color. It can be concluded that was not found E. coli on ten samples of daluman are sold in Denpasar City (0%).
