PATTERN ANALYSIS OF SOCIAL INTERACTION ACCELERATION GRADE STUDENTS STUDY IN SMAN 1 Denpasar

Accelerated class is a deceived program to sustain students with a particular character on intellectual potency and aptitude. In spite of its flexibility, accelerated class has raised some specific adversaries toward students in a school, such as social adaptation problem and excessive academic program. In turn, these issues strongly affected studentsí mental health and lead to an anti-social attitude. Here are two formulated questions in order to analyze the social interact of students, (1) how is the social interaction process in an accelerated class? (2) How is the social interaction of students from accelerated class with the regular class students? This research was hold at National High School 1, Denpasar by means of descriptive qualitative methodology, and the associative and dissociative social interaction theory from Gillin and Gillin. The result of this research shows that, there is amiss social interaction between students from the acceleration class and the regular class which potentially pave the way to a wide gap among the students.
