ANALYSIS OF CHARACTERISTICS AND NEEDS OF PARKING IN TOURISM REGION ITDC NUSA DUA

Bali is one of the densely populated island and the island is famous for its tourism and culture. ITDC Nusa Dua is one of the Regions in Bali that became a tourism destination, of course this resulted in a lot of movement of vehicles in the location. The rapid growth of vehicle flows and not offset by adequate road capacity and added parking on the road will surely cause traffic flows and poor service levels. This study was conducted to analyze the characteristics of parking on the roadside and find out how much parking needs in the area. The purpose of this research is (1) to analyze the characteristics of parking in ITDC Nusa Dua area, (2) and the amount of parking requirement in ITDC Nusa Dua area. The data used in this study include secondary data and primary data. Secondary data is obtained from BPS-Statistics of Badung Regency for Badung Regency population, and primary data is obtained from analysis result. Analysis of parking characteristics is guided by the Planning and Operating Manual of Parking Facility. From the analysis results obtained (1) the highest index parking characteristics in segment A for motorcycles 1.4, for light vehicles 1.7, segment B for motorcycles 1.8, for light vehicles 2.6, segment C for motorcycles 1 , 5, light vehicles 2, segment D for motorcycles 2, 1.9 light vehicles, central parking for motorcycles 1.5, light vehicles 0.58, heavy vehicles 4.4. (2) The need for parking at ITDC Nusa Dua for motorcycles of 933 SRP, where currently only available 268 SRP so that still less 665 SRP. For light vehicle parking needs of 841 SRP, which currently only available 297 SRP so that still less 544 SRP and vehicle parking needs of 65 SRP, where currently only available 14 SRP so still less 51 SRP.
