The rapid advancement ot the national economy will drive an increased need for products and services that could potentially cause harm large mass in the field of consumer protection. Technically it is not effective and efficient settlement of violations of the law of adverse en masse against the people, who have the facts and the legal basis the same defendant filed and resolved on their own. Therefore, that in the interests of efficiency and effectiveness of litigation, claims the right to do to file a class action. The absence of an exact figure which is the limit nimerousity requirements stipulated in act number 8 of 1999 on the protection of consumers (hereinafter referred to UUPK) led to a lack of legal certainty fo the parties and relies heavily on the judge’s decision. The method used in this thesis is normative yuridical research method that is legal research done by researching library materials or secondary materials. This thesis aims to determine whether the setting class action on the number of class members in UUPK is adequate and whether the legal consequences of consumer dispute resolution through class actions.
