Pottery is an object made with the main ingredient of clay and burnt so strong, and consists of the type of container and non container. An earthenware flask type container that has a function as a place to store the water. Flask as a place to accommodate the water used by humans to support their daily life and as ceremonial purposes or activities as a preparation burial tomb. Use of a pitcher on the activity of such sacred burial, make a pitcher has a sacred character. A sacred value in the flask as stock tomb illustrate the cultural character of supporters. Studying jug as stock tomb will provide knowledge about the variation flask as a result of cultural and community supporters relegi system. The importance of considering the flask as stock tomb, the study entitled " Flask as Stock Tomb in Lambanapu, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Collection of the Archaeological Institute of Bali" aims to acquire attribute data, the influence of pottery culture, and background use of a pitcher as stock tomb findings of the Archaeological Institute of Bali on the Site Lambanapu. This research is descriptive qualitative and located at the Archaeological Institute of Bali. Data collected in the form of shape, size, decoration, raw material, manufacturing technologies, the cultural influence of pottery, as well as the meaning of the flask. The primary data of the jug fragments from the excavation site Lambanapu, while secondary data from literature related to the object of research. Retrieving data using techniques literature study, observation, documentation, and interviews. Comparative analysis to reconstruct a pitcher and compare other attributes and knowing the character of the pottery culture. Contextual analysis to determine the meaning of the flask as stock tomb, because the meaning is the use of background flask as stock tomb. The results showed that the flask as stock tomb in the largest Lambanapu based on the results of reconstruction has the shape of flask, flask as the prehistoric period, characterized by a long neck. Lambanapu jug exactly have a shape similar to a pitcher in Melolo with traits necked stacking and there are ornate face mask. Lambanapu flask has two body types (round body and body with the shoulder) and two types of neck (neck stacking and long neck). Observations show flask there are two ornamental patterns, ie patterns of ornamental ribbons and decorative patterns with motifs guise anthropomorphic face. The results of observations also showed manufacturing technology flask, flask formation by using simple tools such as hand and face and landing, incomplete combustion, and rub the surface of the finishing process, while raw materials made of clay with sand mixture. Comparison attributes mainly on the attributes style flask, flask Lambanapu shows the influence from Kalumpang pottery culture, looks at the use of the face mask mena are characteristic of Kalumpang pottery. Meaning as background jug flask use as stock tomb, because a pitcher is defined as the energy source for rebirth.
